Amia Beauty & Skin is a luxurious salon and Skin Clinic in the heart of Dalkey village. The word “Amia” means “to promote harmony and balance” and is a combination of the salon owner Amy and her daughter’s name, Mia.
The take off
The salon took off almost immediately, with regular customers praising Amy and her team for their attention to detail and quality of services. As the salon’s customer base grew, so did the services on offer, extending to a wide range of facial and body treatments, massages and full body scrubs, and a full range of skin treatments and facial and body machines.
There is a uniquely relaxing ambience at Amia Beauty & Skin, which is what keeps our customers coming back. From the moment you walk through the door you’ll be embraced by our warm, friendly and professional atmosphere, and every customer gets the 5-Star Treatment. Whether you’re booked in for an eyebrow wax or a full pamper day, you’ll feel like a VIP. Our regular clients say Amia is their happy place and that they can leave their worries at the door while they enjoy an hour or an afternoon of bliss, away from their busy lives in the outside world.
The fact that this kind of peaceful oasis is situated in the heart of a well-loved town like Dalkey is very unique. We are a one-stop beauty shop that caters for all your beauty needs in our Beauty department, including nails, tan, waxing and make-up, and a full menu of facials and body treatments in our luxurious Skin Clinic. The Amia team is made up of a diverse range of top Beauty specialists, ensuring you’re getting the best therapist for your treatment.
I’ve always been interested in beauty so I did my qualifications while working full time in a salon. Upon qualifying, I upskilled with various specialised beauty courses as well as doing a four-year Bachelor’s degree in Psychology & Social Science, continuing to work full-time and of course be a
full-time mum to my daughter. In 2015 I spotted an opportunity for a luxury salon in Dalkey, and since I had already built up a network of clients, I took the plunge and opened Amia Beauty & Skin.
